The Mets announced Thursday afternoon that acting general manager Zack Scott has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest for drunk driving on Tuesday morning.
In a statement, the team said that Mets president Sandy Alderson will be assuming Scott’s responsibilities.
Scott was found dozing off in his car in White Plains around 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, and pled not guilty to the DWI and three other charges at White Plains City Court on Thursday morning.
Scott was at a team charity event at Steve Cohen’s house on Monday night, which ended at around 9 p.m. Scott was found in his car nearly seven hours later. The Mets released a statement Wednesday that they had learned about Scott's arrest on Wednesday morning, and were determining the next steps.
