A scary scene at Citi Field on Wednesday, as one of the security guards in camera well by the visitors’ third base dugout took a foul ball directly off the top of the head.
It happened in the top of the second inning, as ex-Met Travis d’Arnaud hit a foul pop that carried over the netting, and landed directly on the bean of the security guard looking away from the action:

Luckily, the guard was okay, and it was another former Met – Paul Byrd, now part of Braves broadcasts on Bally Sports South – who was the first to come over to check on him.
Once all was okay, Tylor Megill struck out d’Arnaud with a nasty breaking ball:
