Don't sound the alarms just yet...

Rangers' ace Jacob deGrom was forced to leave Monday night's 4-0 win against the Kansas City Royals with what the club describes as right wrist soreness. The Rangers say the decision was precautionary and that deGrom will continue to be evaluated.

According to a report from Jeff Wilson of Rangerstoday.com, deGrom said after the game that "he probably could have kept going and isn't too concerned" about the soreness. He added that he hopes to make his next start on Sunday against the Athletics.

deGrom struck out five and walked one in four no-hit innings before leaving the game and being replaced by Dane Dunning. Dunning dominated the next five innings of work, striking out five and allowing just one hit and one walk.

It was the Rangers' 25th one-hitter in franchise history and the first since the club did it at Houston on May 11, 2018.
