Nets forward Dzanan Musa is now a diplomat, of sorts.

Bisera Turkovic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Musa’s native Bosnia and Herzegovina, has given diplomatic passports to Musa and Trail Blazers star Jusuf Nurkic, recognizing them as “the best ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the world” according to a report from the Sarajevo Times.

”We are proud of their results. They have shown that hard work can make a world result. Today, they play in the strongest league in the world – the NBA – and always proudly point out that they come from BiH. They are a role model for many children in BiH who are starting their first sports steps. Therefore, I used only my right to award them diplomatic passports,” Turkovic was quoted as saying in the report.

Diplomatic passports are usually issued “to diplomats and accompanying dependents for official international travel and residence,” and while holding one can often have some travel or immunity privileges abroad, it does gives holders full diplomatic privileges within their home country.

Per the report, Musa was quoted as saying the issuance of the diplomatic passport “is a great honor and pride for him.”
