Kevin Durant will miss tonight's game in Sacramento and Tuesday's game in Phoenix due to a mild left hamstring strain, the Brooklyn Nets announced late Sunday.
Durant had just returned Saturday after missing three games (and part of a fourth) due to the NBA's health and safety protocols because of a close COVID contact. KD played 33 minutes in his first return to Golden State since winning an NBA title there in 2019, and had 20 points, five rebounds, and six assists.
The two absences will be the 10th and 11th games Durant has missed this season, albeit the first due to injury; he has sat out three games for load management purposes, and twice missed three games (just now, and once in early January) due to health and safety protocols.
Still, Brooklyn has been kind to Durant, who is averaging 29 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists this season.
Good news for the Nets, though: DeAndre Jordan, who missed Saturday's game for personal reasons, is listed as probable to return on Monday.
