Wednesday night was Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant's first game as teammates inside Madison Square Garden, and Brooklyn's last game of the season at The World's Most Famous Arena.
So Irving made sure to bid the crowd adieu after the Nets finished off another furious comeback over the rival Knicks.
Both Durant and Irving weren't on the floor when Brooklyn erased a 28-point deficit at The Garden earlier in the season, but both were there on Wednesday night, helping wipe away a 21-point deficit in the third quarter to hand the Knicks another deflating collapse.
The comeback was capped off by a 3-pointer from Patty Mills to give the Nets a 10-point lead with a minute to go, followed by Irving waving goodbye to the crowd as he watched the three fall through.
"Waving to the crowd was just saying 'Hey, we'll see you guys next year," Irving said of his farewell.
Irving had a rough shooting night, hitting nine of 24 field goal attempts, but Mills shot 5-for-7 from downtown, the final one leading to Irving's goodbye wave to the rival crowd.
