Markieff Morris doesn’t seem to have much worry about Kevin Durant and Steve Nash being able to set aside their differences after Durant’s reported ultimatum to ownership to either fire Nash and GM Sean Marks or trade him.
Why no concern? Morris says he’s experienced similar reconciliations himself, in his own marriage.
“That’s the NBA, man,” Morris said. “You break up with a girlfriend, you get back with her. Same s--t. you air your differences until you figure it out.
“I broke up with my wife a couple times, we still married. S--t works. Sometimes you need space to figure some things out. The s--t works, it is what it is.”
Nash said “we’re fine” when asked about his relationship with Durant, and said the reporting about Durant’s ultimatum didn’t tell the whole story. Whatever the whole story is, it’s clear Durant had an issue with the mindset of the franchise, but has put those aside and recommitted to the team. Maybe it will work out like Morris says.
