Ben Simmons was once again absent from the Nets’ loss to the Bucks on Tuesday night, and won’t play on Wednesday night against the Knicks either.

Other than telling reporters that Simmons would not play Tuesday or Wednesday, head coach Jacque Vaughn had very little to provide in terms of an update or a status report on Brooklyn’s oft-injured max player.

“That’s kind of what I’ve got for you,” Vaughn said.

Simmons has been out with knee soreness, an injury that caused him to miss time earlier in the season as well. Vaughn declined to shed much light on what exactly Simmons is doing to work his way back from injury, other than reiterating that he is going through the “strengthening” process with that knee, but he did echo his sentiments from this past weekend, when he said there was “zero” thought to shutting Simmons down for the rest of the season.
