Evan Roberts was talking about the Mets leading the league in HBPs on his new Mets podcast, and said he refused to see the 40 HBPs as a reason to believe that the league has it out for his team.
In doing so, he took a jab at Rangers fans, specifically Boomer Esiason.
"If I did that, I'd be a b---ch New York Ranger fan who thinks every official is out to get them," Evan said. "'Screw the Rangers button, everybody hates us, there's a conspiracy against us,' I'm not gonna play that game."
Jerry Recco played the clip for Boomer during Thursday's show, and Boomer didn't have time for it.
"He's just mad that his Nets spent half a billion dollars on guys that don't even play," Boomer said. "He's a b--ch Brooklyn Nets fan, who nobody cares about."
Jerry proposed a method of payback where Boomer pitched for an adult league baseball team to take on Evan's squad and fire a fastball at him, but Boomer decided it's not worth his time.
"He's an adult?" Boomer said. "I've never looked at Evan and thought 'adult.'"
