WATCH: Rangers fans go nuts at MSG after seeing St. Peter's pulled off another upset

Rangers fans had plenty to cheer about on Friday night, watching their team dominate the Penguins in a 5-1 win at Madison Square Garden.

But the biggest applause of the night came late in the third period with the game already well in hand.

With three minutes to go in the third, and not much action happening on the ice during a 4-1 lead for New York, the scoreboard above the ice showed that March Madness Cinderella Saint Peter’s had just stunned third-seeded Purdue to become the first 15th-seed in NCAA Tournament history to reach the Elite Eight.

And the crowd went wild, celebrating the previously unknown school from nearby Jersey City make history.
