Steve Somers was back with Keith McPherson on Monday night for another guest Schmooze, and he came with optimism after his Rangers dropped game three of the Eastern Conference Final.
Steve never expected it to be easy against the two-time defending champs, but given how solid the Blueshirts looked in games one and two, and the first half of game three, he doesn't see a blown lead in game three leading to an unraveling. He still sees a hard-fought series going the Rangers' way.
He also says it will end with a celebration at Madison Square Garden and a third straight game seven victory in this postseason.
"I can't see Tampa winning three of the next four games at all," Steve said.
"The Rangers had won five straight from Tampa Bay before [Sunday]. I think the Rangers are still in good shape. And it will still be, listen closely, it will be Rangers in seven."
