Things are still buzzing between the Yankees and Astros.
The two rivals are back at it again this weekend, with the Yankees taking the first two games of the series, thanks in part to a masterful shutout from Gerrit Cole against his former team in a 1-0 win for the Bronx Bombers Saturday night.
But it was something Aaron Judge did that caught everyone’s attention.
The Yankees slugger belted a long, solo home run in the third inning to give the Bombers the lead, but as Judge was rounding third base he gave his jersey a tug, mimicking the gesture Jose Altuve gave his teammates during his walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 2019 ALCS that sent the Astros to the World Series.

Many internet sleuths of theorized that Altuve was wearing a buzzer that let him know which pitches were coming and that is why he didn’t want his shirt ripped off.

Altuve maintains his wife didn’t like it the last time they did it to him and was trying to prevent it from happening again, also citing a tattoo he did not want exposed.
There is no evidence to support the buzzer theory, but it has certainly added more intrigue to the Astros’ sign-stealing scandal from the 2017 season.
Judge was asked about whether or not he was trolling Altuve after the game, but the slugger delivered a tongue-in-cheek remark.
“Whenever they keep the roof closed here, it’s pretty chilly,” he told reporters. “So just letting my team know to button up a little it.”
Astros manager Dusty Baker did not seem to like it, though, calling it "wrong."
