Vaccines will be available at Yankee Stadium and Citi Field as part of the new capacity increase going into effect May 19, and Boomer had a good idea on Thursday morning.
“They should get ex-Yankees like Mariano Rivera and teach them how to give the shots,” Boomer joked, and that brought out the Yankees promo music and Gio’s impression of Paul Olden.
“Get a shot from Steve Sax!” he softly spoke, with Boomer hoping Sax could “find your arm” with the shot. “Wanna get saved by Mariano Rivera? Mo will be outside Gate 4, giving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine!”
Jerry wondered, in the replay, how Gio came up with Sax’s name on the fly, which prompted Gregg to also mention obscure Yankees like Roberto Kelly and Kevin Maas.
“When Boomer said can he find your arm, all I could think of was him throwing the ball into the stands,” Jerry replied, “and then having a needle!”
