Aaron Judge has now reached the 60-home run mark, something that had only been done five times ever before, and woke up Wednesday morning leading the league in all three Triple Crown categories.
At this point, Boomer and Gio wouldn’t know what to say if Judge isn’t named American League MVP.
Taking it a step further, Boomer says it should be unanimous.
“Judge has played in almost every game for the Yankees this season, he just hit the 60 home run mark, leads in RBI, as of right now leads in batting average as well,” Boomer said. “I don’t see how he and Paul Goldschmidt won’t be MVPs. There’s just no way. It should be unanimous.”
Gio agrees, but he’s not going to hold his breath.
“You know there’s gonna be some of these dweeb baseball writers who vote for [Shohei] Ohtani because ‘we’ve never seen this before, what he’s doing is miraculous, blah blah blah,’” Gio said.
“You don’t have to convince me, I’m just telling you there’s gonna be multiple writers who vote for Ohtani.”
