With the Yankees looking for a sixth straight win and to pull within six games of a playoff spot, Carlos Rodon took the mound and surrendered seven runs on eight hits and never gave the offense a chance in another clunker for the high-priced lefty.
BT had already grown annoyed with Rodon, who missed half the season due to injury, blew a kiss at an angry Yankee fan in Anaheim, and has struggled badly most of the season. So, after watching Rodon halt the Yankees’ momentum and get booed off the mound on Thursday, BT was livid.
“I can’t even stand the sight of Carlos Rodon. I can’t even look at him,” BT said. “He drives me crazy already…he’s trash, dude. Literally every ball they hit was on the screws.”
Unfortunately for BT, Rodon is signed for five more years after this season, and BT can only hope the next five are a lot better than this one, which currently has Rodon sporting a 6.60 ERA.
“He has been awful in year one,” BT said. “What a waste of money with the Yankees there.”
