We know that when it comes to his home run calls for the Yankees, John Sterling can reference just about anything from any time - from topical references to rhyme time to memorable items of his younger days - which leads to calls ranging from "Here comes the Judge!" to Giancarlo Stanton's call in Italiano to "Higashioka, the home run stroka!"
The current Yankees roster has two new players who didn't get the Sterling treatment on Opening Day...and while yes, it will be fun to hear his call for Franchy Cordero, you know John is gonna come up with something epic for Anthony Volpe.
