Evan: Juan Soto would easily have his vote over Aaron Judge for MVP right now

Evan is fired up to watch Aaron Judge and Juan Soto feed off of each other this summer as the Yankees continue to roll, and believes it can turn into a friendly battle for the American League MVP.

But if he had to pick a favorite right now, despite Judge leading Soto in some key statistical categories, Evan says he would take Soto right now in an easy decision.

“Soto is so good, and Judge is so good, that you end up feeding off one another. It feels like every night or day, it’s a one-up of each other,” Evan said. “Sixty one games in, in my humble opinion, the MVP right now - it’s gonna sound nuts, but it’s not that close - is Juan Soto. Just the consistency of the season…when you watch them every day, Soto’s consistency from earlier in the season when Judge was slumping, that puts Soto over the top.”

Judge has surpassed Soto in some of those categories because of a torrid May, but Evan loves the consistency from Soto, and says he would go with the first-year Yankee if he had a vote right now.

“Either way,” Evan said. “This is gonna be fun.”
