The Yankees playoff odds are now hovering near 10 percent after a loss to the lowly White Sox on Monday night, and Keith McPherson, who has long since hopped off the Yankee roller coaster, says the Bombers currently have no pulse, as Dylan Cease became the latest struggling starter to find his groove against a putrid New York lineup.
“Who you gonna call? Slump busters!” Keith joked. “This is a dead team walking.”
All the past two days have done is confirm Keith’s belief that the Yankees are not playoff material, and the run of six straight postseason appearances is about to end.
“Still can’t beat Houston,” Keith said. “I can’t take these guys seriously. Had a chance to win that series, and pitched Luis Severino. That’s a punt.
“If they somehow, miraculously, sneak into the postseason with the third Wild Card, they’re gonna face the best pitching. They’re not gonna survive that.”
