Carlos Rodon blew a kiss to an angry Yankee fan who was giving it to the lefty as he walked off the field after the second inning, having already given up three runs.
Keith says a $162 million pitcher who has already missed months of the season to injury and is now struggling on the mound should not be giving it back to angry fans.
“Bro, you’re 0-3,” Keith said. “Your three starts haven’t been anything to write home about.
“That’s just soft. You’re blowing a kiss. You’re terrible, you’re not good, and you’re blowing a kiss?”
Keith says fans have every right to express their anger, and Rodon would be best served to just wear it next time, instead of making enemies out of his own fanbase like the 2021 Mets did with their thumbs down debacle.
“I’m guessing they paid a few hundred dollars to sit in those seats,” Keith said. “They have the right to heckle you…you signed a $162 million contract to pitch for the Yankees, you didn’t pitch half the year, and so far, it’s not so good.”
