Aaron Judge is flexing his clutch gene after his solo shot in game five of the ALDS on Tuesday afternoon.
The Yankee slugger, who went deep off Guardians reliever Sam Hentges in the bottom of the second to give the Bombers a 4-0 lead, took sole possession of the top spot in MLB history for most homes runs in a winner-take-all playoff game.
The hitters he passed on that list? Teammate Giancarlo Stanton, who had hit his third an inning earlier, Yankee legend Yogi Berra, and former teammate Didi Gregorius, who hit all three of his in the 2017 postseason, one in the now extinct Wild Card Game and two against Cleveland in game five of the ALDS.
Judge also went deep in the 2017 American League Wild Card Game, and again in the Wild Card Game a year later.
