The voice of the Carolina Hurricanes joined Kyle Bailey today on the Clubhouse to recap the first 2 games of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Boston Bruins.
Mike said a big part in yesterday's win was Coach Rod Brind'Amour not letting things on the outside bother him or the rest of the team, and he makes sure everyone feel important from the top to the bottom of the locker room.
Kyle wanted to know from Mike how much of a motivating factor it is for the Canes to try and exact some revenge against the Bruins after losing to them last year and Mike told Kyle that they deflect it pretty well, but it's in the back of everybody's mind and it's a completely different series.
When it comes to Game 3 on Saturday and what to expect Mike told Kyle that:
"If David Pastrnak is not in the lineup for the Bruins that would be an advantage for the Canes, but I expect to see more of the same in this series on Saturday. This series is starting to get more nasty, we're seeing some physical body checks and some amazing skill from both sides and it's becoming a battle of will between the two squads.
