We thought that the hiatus from baseball would be the time during which players would be able to reveal their non-baseball talents. But Brent Suter is using the resumption of the game to reveal one of his crazy talents: a dead-on impression of famous comedy actor Jim Carrey.
MLB.com shared a video of Suter performing this uncanny impersonation during Wednesday's intrasquad game that featured the Gold Brewers vs. the Blue Brewers. Close your eyes and listen the first time through. Then, watch it a second time and take in the whole impression.
Everything is so accurate. The tone of voice. The pace. The facial expressions. The twitches. Suter has got that thing down to a science.
Two years ago, we saw the impression make its official team debut.
It's not only Jim Carrey, though. His arsenal of impressions is diverse, outrageously funny and, most importantly, unbelievably accurate. It's "Sesame Street," "Elf," "Seinfeld," and "Lord of the Rings" in the span of a minute, and it's the best thing you'll watch today (if you haven't already seen it).
The part about the above video that surprises me most? It only has a couple thousand views. This needs to be more viral. Brent Suter's impressions are exactly what we need during this otherwise stressful period in sports, and world, history.
