The 2020 NFL schedule was released under unprecedented circumstances, owing to the coronavirus crisis. The league had previously said it planned to begin its season on time, and the newly minted game calendar confirmed it.
The release of the schedule itself took on new meaning in 2020, just as the draft before it did. With no other sports to turn to, what is typically a secondary or tertiary sports story was elevated to new importance this year. Never missing an opportunity, the league took full advantage of having the stage to itself, even airing a primetime mini-event around the release on the NFL Network.
Below is a comprehensive list of every NFL game in 2020, sorted by the 17-week schedule -- with one game that we can't wait to see for every week. Be sure to check our complete list and analysis of the national TV schedule, as well.

Monday, Sept. 14
Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants
Tennessee Titans at Denver Broncos
Game of the Week
This one seems obvious given the rest of the slate. How can you go against the matchup that pins the two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks, the “old men” of the league, in an epic preview of who will likely be the top two teams in the NFC South. Brady and Brees have squared off five times, though two of the games came when Brees was leading the San Diego Chargers. Nonetheless, the current Saints quarterback holds a 3-2 lead in the series.
Week 2
Thursday, Sept. 17
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns*
Sunday, Sept. 20
New York Giants at Chicago Bears
Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles
Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets

Minnesota Vikings at Indianapolis Colts

Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans
Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers
New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks
Monday, Sept. 21
New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders
Game of the Week
Although the duel between Lamar Jackson and Deshaun Watson is going to be fun to watch, we can’t just put Lamar Jackson down every week (though he’s always must-watch TV). Instead, we’re going to go with an intriguing Thursday night game that has been boring in years past. Now, it will feature the high-powered Browns offense looking to rebound and the extremely intriguing Bengals offense with No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow running the show.
Week 3
Thursday, Sept. 24
Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars
Sunday, Sept. 27
San Francisco 49ers at New York Giants
Washington Redskins at Cleveland Browns
Cincinnati Bengals at Philadelphia Eagles
Las Vegas Raiders at New England Patriots
Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons
Los Angeles Rams at Buffalo Bills
Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers
New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts
Tennessee Titans at Minnesota Vikings
Carolina Panthers at Los Angeles Chargers
Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos
Green Bay Packers at New Orleans Saints
Monday, Sept. 28
Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens*
Game of the Week
Mahomes. Lamar. Done deal, no debate, this is the game of the week.
Week 4
Thursday, Oct. 1
Denver Broncos at New York Jets
Sunday, Oct. 4
New Orleans Saints at Detroit Lions
Los Angeles Chargers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals
Minnesota Vikings at Houston Texans

Cleveland Browns at Dallas Cowboys
Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers
Indianapolis Colts at Chicago Bears
Baltimore Ravens at Washington Redskins
New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams
New England Patriots at Kansas City Chiefs*
Buffalo Bills at Las Vegas Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles at San Francisco 49ers
Monday, Oct. 5
Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers
Game of the Week
Bill Belichick is presented with the ultimate test in Week 4. Who knows how the Pats will have fared after the first three weeks, but if Bill Belichick can somehow lead the Pats through a victory on the road against the Super Bowl champions, he’ll tack more on to his Hall of Fame resume.
Week 5
Thursday, Oct. 8
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Chicago Bears
Sunday, Oct. 11
Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans
Denver Broncos at New England Patriots
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons
Las Vegas Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs*
Arizona Cardinals at New York Jets
Philadelphia Eagles at Pittsburgh Steelers
Los Angeles Rams at Washington Redskins
Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
Indianapolis Colts at Cleveland Browns
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks
Monday, Oct. 12
Los Angeles Chargers at New Orleans Saints
Game of the Week
Henry Ruggs on one side, and Tyreek Hill on the other? That’s perhaps the greatest display of seed we’ll see in a long, long time.
Week 6
Thursday, Oct. 15
Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills
Sunday, Oct. 18
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
Baltimore Ravens at Philadelphia Eagles
Atlanta Falcons at Minnesota Vikings
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
Cincinnati Bengals at Indianapolis Colts
Detroit Lions at Jacksonville Jaguars
Chicago Bears at Carolina Panthers
Washington Redskins at New York Giants
New York Jets at Los Angeles Chargers
Miami Dolphins at Denver Broncos
Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers*
Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
Monday, Oct. 19
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys
Game of the Week
Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady have only faced off against each other twice, but they’re still constantly linked as two of the greatest quarterbacks of all time playing in the same time frame. This one will be their last regular season clash in all likelihood, and some records could be broken.
Week 7
Thursday, Oct. 22
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Sunday, Oct. 25
Buffalo Bills at New York Jets
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans
Detroit Lions at Atlanta Falcons
Los Angeles Chargers at Miami Dolphins
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins
San Francisco 49ers at New England Patriots
Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos*
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Las Vegas Raiders
Monday, Oct. 26
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams
Game of the Week
I would honestly go with Browns and Bengals again in this situation, as I expect both of them to be really fun to watch. But for the sake of mixing it up, we’re going to go with two high octane offenses -- one proven, one expected -- to face off for the first time. The amount of offensive weapons the Broncos now boast, thanks to John Elway’s clear focus this offseason, means that they may be able to keep up with Patrick Mahomes and co.
Week 8
Thursday, Oct. 29
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers
Sunday, Nov. 1
Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
Indianapolis Colts at Detroit Lions
Las Vegas Raiders at Cleveland Browns
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
Los Angeles Rams at Miami Dolphins
New York Jets at Kansas City Chiefs
Jacksonville Jaguars at Los Angeles Chargers
New Orleans Saints at Chicago Bears
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks*
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
Monday, Nov. 2
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New York Giants
Game of the Week
Cowboys-Eagles will always be a contender, but I have a feeling they’ll appear on this schedule as the Game of the Week at a later date (hint, hint). Instead, we’ll go with a similar divisional battle, as these two teams have always found each other near the top of the NFC West and pit two of the greatest coaching minds against each other.
Week 9
Thursday, Nov. 5
Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers
Sunday, Nov. 8
Chicago Bears at Tennessee Titans
Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
New York Giants at Washington Redskins
Denver Broncos at Atlanta Falcons
Seattle Seahawks at Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers at Kansas City Chiefs
Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars
Pittsburgh Steelers at Dallas Cowboys
Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers*
Monday, Nov. 9
New England Patriots at New York Jets
Game of the Week
The rematch. Yeah, I know, it’s a boring pick considering I chose them earlier. But come on… how can I not go with Brees-Brady volume two?
Week 10
Thursday, Nov. 12
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans*
Sunday, Nov. 15
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Houston Texans at Cleveland Browns
Washington Redskins at Detroit Lions
Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints
Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers
New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals
Denver Broncos at Las Vegas Raiders
Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams
Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots
Monday, Nov. 16
Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
Game of the Week
I saw Baltimore vs. New England on Sunday night, and I began typing up a description of why Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady would engage in an epic faceoff of the new era against the old. And after that complete tradition of habit cleared out of my head, I realized that despite the phenomenal NFC Championship preview between the Saints and the 49ers, I really like the Thursday night game. The Colts and the Titans are both battling for control over a wide-open AFC South with three strong contenders (the Texans, as well).
Week 11
Thursday, Nov. 19
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks
Sunday, Nov. 22
Philadelphia Eagles at Cleveland Browns
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints
Cincinnati Bengals at Washington Redskins
Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders
New England Patriots at Houston Texans
Green Bay Packers at Indianapolis Colts
Pittsburgh Steelers at Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens*
Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers
Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings
Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos
Monday, Nov. 23
Los Angeles Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Game of the Week
Lamar Jackson will seek vengeance against the Titans after the Ravens were removed from the playoffs way too early given their regular season success. Can Derrick Henry once again bully the Baltimore defense en route to an upset victory?
Week 12
Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving)
Houston Texans at Detroit Lions
Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, Nov. 29
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Arizona Cardinals at New England Patriots
New York Giants at Cincinnati Bengals
Las Vegas Raiders at Atlanta Falcons
Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills
Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars
Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay Buccaneers*
New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
Monday, Nov. 30
Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles
Game of the Week
Mahomes and Brady haven’t faced off too many times, but they’ve all been epic affairs. Brady has the 2-1 advantage, but Mahomes finally proved to be too much to handle. But with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Rob Gronkowski on his side, Brady has the firepower needed to match the offense of Kansas City. This one could be an early Game of the Year frontrunner.
Week 13
Thursday, Dec. 3
Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, Dec. 6
Las Vegas Raiders at New York Jets
Washington Redskins at Pittsburgh Steelers
Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans
Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans
Cincinnati Bengals at Miami Dolphins*
Jacksonville Jaguars at Minnesota Vikings
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers
New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks
Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals
New England Patriots at Los Angeles Chargers
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
Monday, Dec. 7
Buffalo Bills at San Francisco 49ers
Game of the Week
It may not actually be the most important game of the week, but the opportunity to see Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa go head to head at the NFL level is as exciting a game as we’ll see all year.
Week 14
Thursday, Dec. 10
New England Patriots at Los Angeles Rams
Sunday, Dec. 13
Dallas Cowboys at Cincinnati Bengals
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
Houston Texans at Chicago Bears
Minnesota Vikings at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Arizona Cardinals at New York Giants
Kansas City Chiefs at Miami Dolphins
Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars
Denver Broncos at Carolina Panthers
Atlanta Falcons at Los Angeles Chargers
New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins at San Francisco 49ers
Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders
New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks
Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills*
Monday, Dec. 14
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
Game of the Week
Should Ben Roethlisberger stay healthy -- or even if not, based on how dominant the defense was in 2019 -- the Steelers should definitely remain in playoff contention up to this point. The Bills should as well, and this one could be a blisteringly cold and tough-it-out defensive battle between two teams hungry for a postseason berth.
Week 15
Thursday, Dec. 17
Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders
Saturday, Dec. 19 or Sunday, Dec. 20
Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers
New York Jets at Los Angeles Rams
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
Detroit Lions at Tennessee Titans
Buffalo Bills at Denver Broncos
Sunday, Dec. 20
Jacksonville Jaguars at Baltimore Ravens
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
Cleveland Browns at New York Giants
Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
Seattle Seahawks at Washington Redskins
Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona Cardinals
Kansas City Chiefs at New Orleans Saints*
San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys
Monday, Dec. 21
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
Game of the Week
Chiefs-Saints in New Orleans on one of the last weekends of the regular season has all the makings of a classic shootout -- think of the Niners-Saints shootout from a year ago, only with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ turbocharged offense running amok on the Superdome turf.
Week 16
Friday, Dec. 25
Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets (flex schedule)
Saturday, Dec. 26 or Sunday, Dec. 27
Chicago Bears at Jacksonville Jaguars
New York Giants at Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers
Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions
Atlanta Falcons at Kansas City Chiefs
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
Miami Dolphins at Las Vegas Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys*
Tennessee Titans at Green Bay Packers
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers
San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals
Monday, Dec. 28
Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots
Game of the Week
While we know there could be several games with massive playoff implications in Week 16, as there always are, the Eagles and the Cowboys have fought tooth and nail in recent history for control of the division at the end of the season. This year figures to be no different, as the Eagles are searching for a healthy year and the Cowboys are looking for their explosive offense to lead a bounce back from last season’s disappointing outcome.
The last three December games between these two rivals have all been one score games. Philly won 17-9 using a rag-tag group of players in an upset last season, Dallas won 29-23 in overtime the year prior, and the Eagles were shut out 6-0 on New Years Eve of 2017.
Week 17
Sunday, Jan. 3
Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions
Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans
Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills
New York Jets at New England Patriots
Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers*
Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos
Game of the Week
The NFL finishes its regular season with every team playing on Sunday, a fitting farewell. It’s hard to predict what the standings will look like come Week 17, but a Seahawks-Niners slugfest at Levi Stadium with a potential playoff berth or seeding on the line is easy to envision.
