The Buffalo Bills have made an addition to the secondary on Tuesday with the signing of cornerback Kevin Johnson to a one-year deal.

March 12, 2019 NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport first had the report of the signing on Monday, followed by a report from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
Johnson was a former first round pick (16th overall) of the Houston Texans in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest. He has struggled to stay healthy for most of his NFL career. After playing a full 16-game rookie season, Johnson has missed 29 games over the last three seasons. He's dealt with a broken foot, a sprained MCL, and multiple concussions in that time.

March 11, 2019 The Texans had picked up Johnson's fifth-year option before the start of the 2018 season, but he never got to see that fifth year after being released last Tuesday. That allowed the Bills to announce his signing before the free agency period officially opened on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Johnson had reportedly visited with the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets before deciding on signing with the Bills.
