After being fired as the general manager of the Houston Texans back on June 7, Brian Gaine is returning to the Buffalo Bills organization.
The Texans went on to hire Gaine as their general manager in January of 2018 after previously serving with the organization as the team's director of player personnel from 2014 to 2016. After just one season in Houston, where the team went 11-5 and ended up winning the AFC South, Gaine was surprisingly let go in a move that was described by Texans chairman and chief executive officer Cal McNair as a decision that was "in the best interest of our organization in our quest to build a championship team for the City of Houston."
Gaine was reportedly interviewed by the Bills for their open general manager job before it was eventually given to Beane.
Gaine has 20 years of personnel experience in the National Football League with the Bills, Texans, New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins.
