The Buffalo Bills announced a pair of signings on Tuesday that addresses a couple positions of need for the 2019 season.
What makes Long such a commodity for the Bills is his versatility on the offensive line. He has spent a majority of his career playing as a center, but has also played plenty of action as a guard. In his five-year career, Long has appeared in 53 games, starting 44 of those games. Last season with the Jets, he played and started in 13 games.
As for Pitts, he returns to the Bills for his third season with the organization. Last year, the 26-year-old played in all 16 games for the Bills, registering nine total tackles as mainly a special teams contributor.
Pitts was originally claimed off waivers by the Bills on October 26, 2017, and earned himself a one-year deal with the team last April. He was set to become a restricted free agent once the new league year started on March 13.
The fourth-year veteran originally signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of University of Pittsburgh back in 2016.
