
The Buffalo Sabres took another bad loss on Sunday night, this time a 4-1 loss at the hands of the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Buffalo was unable to get any offense going, outside of a Sam Reinhart second period goal. The final blows came as Buffalo surrendered two late goals in the third period to cement the 4-1 scoreline. In addition to the 5-on-5 offense, the power play struggled, with the Sabres going 0-for-3 with the man advantage.
Sabres goalie Carter Hutton was able to stop 20-of-23 shots that were directed his way. Devils goalie Cory Schneider, who was 1-17-4 in his last 22 decisions, was able to get 34 saves on 35 shots faced.
The Sabres will be back in action on Tuesday against the Florida Panthers, in the opening leg of the Florida swing.
