Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR) - The Buffalo Bills now know the quarterback they’ll be facing Monday night when they visit the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell announced Thursday that veteran Carson Wentz will start against the Bills, as Kyler Murray deals with a hamstring injury.

Bills head coach Joe Brady met with the media shortly after that was made official on Thursday, and says the Bills defense had been preparing for both quarterbacks to begin the week.

After Brady’s media availability, the Bills hit the practice field for the first time this week, but were without two starting offensive linemen. Neither left tackle Dion Dawkins nor left guard Alec Anderson practiced on Thursday.

Wide receiver Joshua Palmer and defensive tackle Greg Gaines also did not participate due to injury.

Running back Ty Johnson was out with an illness.

In total, the Bills had 18 players listed on their injury report. However, eight of them were still full participants and five players were limited, including defensive back Jordan Hancock, who remains on Injured Reserve but had his 21-day practice window opened.

The team now has 21 days to activate Hancock to the 53-man roster.
