INDIANAPOLIS (WGR) - According to draft value charts, the Buffalo Bills seem to be in good shape, as far as where they rank in total 2019 draft capital amongst all NFL teams. Depending on which chart you want to use, there is a difference where they rank. Rene' Bugner has ranked all NFL teams' draft capital using both the older, traditional Jimmy Johnson Value Chart, as well as the more current Chase Stuart Chart.

Johnson's chart was developed in the early 1990s when he was the coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Many people still refer to it when assessing trades. Stuart modified that chart back in 2007 based on "the career approximate value grade to each slot for each player drafted over a 30-year period," then tweaked and modified it again a couple times over the last several years based on additional data.

The Bills currently have one pick each in rounds one, two, three, and six, plus two picks in rounds four, five, and seven for a total of 10 selections overall.

Based on Johnson's chart, which weighs early picks a little more heavily, the Bills have the ninth-most 2019 draft capital. Using Stuart's more modern chart, they have the fifth most capital as of right now. The only teams ahead of the Bills, based on Stuart's chart, are the Oakland Raiders, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and San Francisco 49ers. The Raiders have three first-round picks and the Packers have two. Oakland and Arizona both have the most draft capital according to both charts.

Here's how it all breaks down, via René Bugner. On the right is where you can see the rankings. "J.J." = Jimmy Johnson chart; "C.S." = Chase Stuart chart
