A little over one year into his five-year contract as general manager of the Houston Texans, Brian Gaine has been fired from his position with the organization.

June 7, 2019 Gaine worked in a different role with the Texans a couple of years ago, serving as their director of player personnel from 2014-16. In between these two roles, Gaine also worked with the Buffalo Bills as their vice president of player personnel during the 2017 season. He then departed Western New York for an opportunity with Houston.
Texans' executive senior vice president Chris Olsen will take over Gaines' role until his replacement is hired, per John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
