The NFL kicks off its 100th season this Thursday night as the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears open the 2019 regular season at Soldier Field.
A full 16-game slate will start up the 2019 season this Thursday, Sunday, and Monday, including the Buffalo Bills, who are in the Meadowlands to take on the New York Jets on Sunday.
Of course, the Bills-Jets matchup is the most anticipated game to come throughout Buffalo, but what other games on the dockett are fans most looking forward to?
Part of the beauty of owning a fantasy football team is the fact that games like Arizona Cardinals against the Detroit Lions are actually watchable. You can find entertainment in each game that way.
The two matchups that are most intriguing without being a fan, or having fantasy implactions are the Tennessee Titans against the Cleveland Browns, and the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Believe it or not, the Titans make their game with Cleveland as intriguing as the Browns do. Tennessee (much like Buffalo) has a very underrated defense. They also have a strong offensive line, two good running backs, and young weapons in Corey Davis and A.J. Brown.
If Marcus Mariota can return to his 2016 and 2017 form, the Titans will be part of the playoff race in the AFC. He flashed that level of play in 2018 against the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Dallas Cowboys, but he needs to stay healthy to find that consistency.
The Chiefs-Jaguars game will be an interesting test to see whether 2017 or 2018 was an outlier for Jacksonville. Are they closer to the AFC Championship team that nearly took down the Patriots, or are they the team that was picking in the top-10 last year?
With new quarterback and former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles now under center, they get a legitamate test in the 2018 AFC runner up at home.
Should be a fun one.
