Kansas City Mo. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills' late season playoff push got off on the right foot Sunday after edging out the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, 20-17, at Arrowhead Stadium.

Sunday was a solid performance for quarterback Josh Allen, as he went 23-of-42 for 233 yards, one touchdown through the air, one touchdown on the ground, and an interception.

Even though Allen performed well for Buffalo, he definitely acknowledge that Sunday's win wasn't without its flaws.

"Wasn't the prettiest of wins, we all know that," said Allen following the win with the assembled media. "There's a lot to clean up, but the defense played fantastic. They went out there and made a two-minute stop, which was great to see. They played great all night."

James Cook led Buffalo in both receiving and rushing on Sunday. The second-year running back caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 58 yards on 10 touches.

Allen was pleased with how Cook practiced during the week, and reflected that work ethic on the field on Sunday.

"He was awesome," Allen stated about Cook. "He's been working hard. He had probably his best week of practice this week. I've been getting more comfortable with him catching passes out of the backfield. He had a lot of opportunities tonight, and he took advantage of it. I thought he ran ball well. I thought all three of our backs ran the ball well."
