Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills remain undefeated to start the 2024 season after defeating the Miami Dolphins, 31-10, on Thursday night at Hard Rock Stadium.
It was not a highly productive night for Bills quarterback Josh Allen, but he didn't need to be with the way James Cook was running the football, and how the defense took matters into their own hands, keeping the Miami offense at bay all night.
"You look at the stat sheet, I don't know what our numbers were, but I know we were really low in time with possession, and we were probably really low in total yards, but still managed to put up 31 points. That means your defense is doing something right," said Allen following Thursday's win with the media. "They had our back tonight, and we're going to need them going forward. I'm just very proud of how guys stepped up into their roles, and they played together. When you play together like that, you're typically going to have good results."
The Bills put up an impressive performance together on a short week, having only defeating the Arizona Cardinals just four days before.
One constant for the Bills was the presence of "Bills Mafia" at both the home and away games.
"This is a fun one to play at. Our fans travel very well, they travel very well here. And we appreciate that," Allen said. "We feed off the energy that they give us, so thank you, 'Bills Mafia'."
Allen and the Bills return home to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, Sept. 23 for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
