Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have acquired defensive back Rasul Douglas in a trade with the Green Bay Packers, the team announced on Tuesday.
The Bills will also send a third-round pick to Green Bay, but also receive a fifth-rounder with Douglas back in the deal.
Originally a third-round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 NFL Draft, Douglas has played in 96 games, starting 57, in seven seasons with the Eagles, Carolina Panthers, and Packers.
In addition to being considered a very good zone defender and tackler, two traits that fit very well in Sean McDermott's defense, Douglas is also known to be a vocal leader in the locker room.
The 28-year-old has 15 interceptions over his seven-year NFL career. Douglas has 10 interceptions over the last three seasons.
In that same span of three years, all Bills cornerbacks have combined for a total of 12 interceptions.
