The Buffalo Bills have announced the eight players that will represent the team as captains on both sides of the football for the upcoming 2021 season. Those eight players include quarterback Josh Allen, wide receiver Stefon Diggs, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, safeties Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer, and special teamers Reid Ferguson, Taiwan Jones and Tyler Matakevich.
It is the third-straight season where Allen has been named as an offensive captain. He is joined by Diggs, who is a first-time captain with the Bills as he enters his second season in Buffalo.
Edmunds is also returning as a captain for the Bills for a third-consecutive year on the defensive side of the football. He is joined by Poyer - who is a defensive captain for a second-straight season - as well as Hyde - who has been named a captain for the first time with the Bills.
On special teams, Ferguson will serve as another third-time captain for the Bills in 2021. He is joined by first-time captain Tyler Matakevich, as well as Taiwan Jones, who previously served as a special teams captain in Buffalo during the 2018 season.

The Bills will open their 2021 season this Sunday, Sept. 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.
