Buffalo Bills starting right tackle Spencer Brown was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced on Thursday.

Brown, the team's third round pick from Northern Iowa in the 2021 NFL Draft, began the season as a reserve, but took over at starting right tackle duties in Week 4. He played three games before injuring his back and missing two contests.

The rookie returned to the starting lineup last Sunday in the Bills' 45-17 win over the New York Jets.

It's unclear if Brown will be available for the team's game on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, or even next Thursday on Thanksgiving night against the New Orleans Saints. If he isn't, the Bills may go back to the same starting offensive line they used two week's ago in a 9-6 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. That lineup saw Daryl Williams shifting back to right tackle with Ike Boettger and Cody Ford starting at guard.

Ryan Bates and rookie Tommy Doyle are also options to replace Brown at right tackle if he's unable to play.

Normal starting guard Jon Feliciano is still on Injured Reserve with a calf injury and must miss, at least, one more game.

The Bills also announced that wide receiver Jake Kumerow was activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list back to the 53-man roster.
