Bills re-sign safety Damar Hamlin to one-year contract

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio) - The Buffalo Bills are bringing back a familiar face to their secondary, re-signing safety Damar Hamlin to a one-year contract on Friday.

Hamlin is set to enter his sixth season with the Bills after being a sixth-round selection of the team out of the University of Pittsburgh in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Over his five years in the NFL, Hamlin has started 27 games for Buffalo, with his best season coming back in the 2024-25 campaign, where he tailed 89 total tackles and had two interceptions.

This past season saw Hamlin miss the final 11 games of the regular season, plus Buffalo’s two playoff games after suffering a season-ending pectoral injury.

Hamlin rejoins a safeties room that already includes Cole Bishop, Jordan Hancock and newcomers C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Geno Stone.
