Although final roster cuts aren't due until Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, the Buffalo Bills have already released three players from their roster.
The team announced on Monday it has released running back Kerrith Whyte, wide receiver/returner Brandon Powell, and cornerback Tim Harris.
Powell was signed early in the offseason to compete for the kick and punt return position, while adding some depth at wide receiver. He tied for the team lead with Gabriel Davis with eight receptions during the preseason.
Whyte and Harris had both been on the team for exactly a week, signed as extra bodies and insurance due to several injuries at the running back and cornerback positions.
