Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have bolstered the depth of their defensive front on on Thursday with the signing of another veteran presence in free agency.
The Bills announced the signing of 35-year-old defensive tackle Linval Joseph to their 53-man roster. NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo says his contract with the team is a one-year deal worth $3.72 million.
Joseph is a 13-year NFL veteran, having played on four different teams with his most recent stop being with the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the New York Giants and won a Super Bowl with the team in 2011.
To make room for Joseph on the active roster, the Bills have placed second-year cornerback Kaiir Elam on Injured Reserve.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane announced Wednesday that Elam has been dealing with an ankle injury, and the team was pondering whether or not to let him get right by putting him on IR.
