The Bills ended up trading the 27th pick in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, as well as a fourth-round selection (130th overall) to the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 25th overall selection.
With that 25th pick, the Bills added another offensive weapon for quarterback Josh Allen with the selection of tight end Dalton Kincaid out of the University of Utah.
Kincaid started his collegiate career playing in the FCS with the University of San Diego, recording 68 receptions for 1,209 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns. In his second season with the Toreros in 2019, Kincaid led the entire FCS in average yards per-catch.
Then in 2020, Kincaid decided to transfer to the FBS and join the Utes, where he'd play in 30 games over three seasons. He went on to grab 107 receptions in his three years at Utah, combining for 1,414 yards and 16 touchdowns.
This past season in Salt Lake City saw the 23-year-old put up his best totals with 70 grabs for 809 yards and eight touchdowns. That was good enough to earn him All-Pac 12 First-Team honors at the tight end position.
Kincaid will join a Bills roster that already consists of Dawson Knox, Quintin Morris and Zach Davidson at tight end.
The Bills now have just four selections remaining in the 2023 NFL Draft. Their next selection will come at 59th overall in the second round, followed by picks in Round 3 (91st overall), Round 5 (137th overall) and Round 6 (205th overall).
