Capaccio: Giants at Bills: Sal's keys, notes and stats

The Bills look to get back in the win column on "Sunday Night Football"

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills will look to get back on track Sunday night when they take on the New York Giants at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park.

To do that, here are my three keys, plus notes and stats:

1.) Dominate Giants' offensive line

It’s no secret the Giants have had a lot of trouble on their offensive line, both due to injury and performance. They are still very banged up upfront.

The Bills come into the game leading the league with 21 total sacks, and with a 14.29% sack per-pass attempt, that has to continue.

The Bills' defensive front needs to dominate the game, and smother the Giants' offensive line, not allowing quarterback Tyrod Taylor any time or room.

2.) Don’t let Taylor escape

Speaking of Taylor, the former Bills quarterback will be starting for New York. He’s very elusive and can extend plays with his legs. The Bills were hurt a few times by that in London last week by Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

While the defensive line should be able to pin their ears back against the Giants' offensive line, they also have to be very aware of Taylor‘s escapability and need to stay disciplined to not let him make plays out of structure to allow drives to continue.

3.) Bring back the balance

Before the Bills loss last week, they had won three games in-a-row, in large part due to their balance on offense with success in both the run and passing game. That got away from them in London, where they only ran 14 times for 29 yards, averaging 2.1 yards per-carry.

Of course, the offense will always start with Josh Allen and his arm, but things can be made much easier on him by getting back to running the ball well and keeping the Giants off-balance. That's something they'll want to do Sunday night.
