OPINION: Jaguars at Bills: Sal's keys, notes and stats

The Bills look to go 3-0 on "Monday Night Football"

Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills will look to go 3-0 with a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars Monday night.

In order to do that, and not let Jacksonville gain its first win of the year, here are my three keys to the game, plus notes and stats:

1.) Start fast

The Jaguars are 0-2, and need a win badly after a tough couple of losses to start the season.

The Bills can get them thinking about another one if they can jump on them early.

Last year when the two teams played in London, Jacksonville jumped out in front, 18-7, before the Bills mounted a comeback that was, ultimately, too little, too late.

2.) Spector and Williams

Baylon Spector will start at middle linebacker for the Bills for the injured Terrel Bernard. Dorian Williams is starting for Matt Milano at weakside linebacker.

Both linebackers are physical tacklers, but can struggle in coverage. Expect the Jaguars to try and test both linebackers through the air.

Buffalo defensive coordinator Bobby Babich will have to have a plan to combat that strategy, and Spector and Williams will need to make a few plays against the pass.

3.) Wideouts win

The Jaguars play a lot of man-to-man defense. That means Bills pass-catchers, and especially their wide receivers, will need to win plenty of 1-on-1 matchups.

Allen's running can also be a factor when facing man-to-man, but if the receivers can get separation early, it will also allow him to get rid of the ball before even having to make that decision.
