Pittsford, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Dawson Knox is entering one of the biggest years of his young NFL career in 2022.
The Bills tight end is entering his fourth season in Buffalo after being drafted in the third round (96th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss. After this upcoming season, the 25-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free agent.
The 6-foot-4, 254-pound tight end put up a stellar 2021 campaign with the Bills, putting together 49 receptions for 587 yards, while also finishing tied for the NFL lead among tight ends with nine touchdown receptions. It was a season that puts Knox in line to become one of the top tight ends in the NFL.
It's been no secret that some Bills fans have been wondering what Knox's future looks like in Buffalo as he heads toward the end of the rookie contract. However, Knox reiterated on Monday that his heart belongs in Western New York.
“First-and-foremost, I want to be here,” said Knox at training camp.
Knox also made mention on Monday he recently bought a house in Orchard Park, which further goes to show where he sees himself in the next few years.
