A native of Lancaster, Andreessen played for Lancaster High School, and after spending four years at Bryant University, finished his collegiate career at the University at Buffalo.
Andreessen originally made the team after a rookie tryout as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reports the deal is worth $5 million, with $3 million guaranteed.
Since the start of the 2025 season, Andreessen is second in the NFL in total special teams tackles.
Andreessen was scheduled to become a Restricted Free Agent next offseason. By signing the extension, the Bills will not have to make a qualifying offer, and he is set to remain in Buffalo through the 2028 season.
