Drew Brees knows a thing or two about playing for a great team, and he thinks he sees one emerging in the AFC East.
The former New Orleans Saints quarterback recently said this week that he believes the Buffalo Bills, at 4-1, are the best team in the NFL.

“I think the Bills are the best team in football right now and it’s not even close,” he told WWL’s “SportsTalk with Bobby Hebert, Kristian Garic and Mike Detillier” in New Orleans earlier this week. “What they’ve done defensively, pitched two shutouts in the last four games. Offensively, they’ve scored darn near 40 points a game.”
The Bills are coming off a resounding 38-20 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead on "Sunday Night Football," which left an impression on Brees.
“You saw those big plays… Kansas City's defense has just been giving up big play after big play this season, but still, you’ve got to be able to execute those big plays and they’ve done that,” he said.

After a 23-16 Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Bills offense has exploded — leading the NFL with 34.4 points per-game.
Brees was particularly impressed with the RPO strategy the Bills have employed in the run game, but summed up his assessment with the team as one that is well-rounded.
“They’ve got a little bit of everything,” Brees said. “It always starts with a great defense and a good run game and they can do that. Now, supplement that with their big-play ability, man, they’re just tough to defend.”
