For the first time since 2008, the Buffalo Bills are a perfect 4-0 to start a season.
The Bills made their first-ever trip to Las Vegas on Sunday and came out of "Sin City" with a 30-23 win over Jon Gruden and the Raiders.
While Josh Allen did not throw for over 300 yards for a fourth-consecutive game, the Buffalo offense did its job, putting up 30 points in a third straight week. As for the defense, they slammed the door shut on the Raiders when they needed to, forcing two late turnovers in the fourth quarter and solidifying the road win.
After the first quarter of the NFL season, Allen continues to play at an MVP level for the Bills with a 70.9% completion rate (ninth among starting quarterbacks), 1,326 yards passing (second), 12 touchdowns (third) in the air and just one interception. He has also rushed 25 times on the ground for 83 yards and three scores.
As for wide receiver Stefon Diggs, he currently sits tied for first place in receiving yards this season with Seattle Seahawks receiver D.K. Metcalf at 403 yards. What's also impressive is that he is averaging 15.5 yards receiving through four games.
Up next for the Bills is another matchup against an unbeaten team so far in 2020. This time, it will be a rematch of last season's Week 5 matchup with the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The Titans are currently sitting at 3-0 in the NFC South standings, but were forced to miss this past week's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to an outbreak of COVID-19 at the team's facility. While there is still plenty of uncertainty about the status of this week's game in Nashville, the Titans have had two consecutive days of negative COVID-19 tests in their organization. The team could be allowed to return to their facilities as soon as Wednesday.
Howard's roll of perfect picks continued last week when he picked the Bills to go to Las Vegas and successfully come away with a win over the Raiders.
In this week's edition of "Howard Picks the Bills", Howard has the Bills beating Tennessee on the road, getting the Bills to 5-0 to start a season. If the Bills happen to win this Sunday, it would be the first time since 1991 where a season started 5-0 for Buffalo.
Not only that, but Howard has the Bills finishing the 2020 campaign 13-3, which is only the third time since tracking the picks in which the final record was picked at 13-3.
