Buffalo Bills wide receiver John Brown is eligible to come off Injured Reserve this week after sitting out three games with an ankle injury.
Head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Monday that Brown will return to practice this week, then the team will see how things go before deciding whether or not to activate him to the 53-man roster ahead of Saturday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Once Brown does return to the practice field, the Bills will have 21 days to activate him or he will be ineligible to return for the rest of the season.
Brown injured his ankle in the Bills’ 32-30 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. He missed the following games against the Los Angeles Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, and Pittsburgh Steelers, all wins by the Bills.
Brown also missed the Bills’ Week 5 game against the Tennessee Titans and the Week 7 matchup with the New York Jets with various injuries. So far on the season, Brown has posted 29 catches for 386 yards and two touchdowns.
