Josh Allen named cover athlete for EA Madden NFL 24

Allen is the first Bills player to ever grace the cover of the EA Madden NFL franchise

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has become one of the most prominent figures in all of football over the last few years with his electric play under center. He has become a beloved figure not only in Western New York, but also across football circles.

That spotlight on Allen has now gotten brighter, as he will grace the cover of EA Madden NFL 24.

Allen becomes the first player in Bills history to be named the cover athlete for the EA Madden NFL franchise. He is also the first player since 2021 to grace the cover of the popular video game after the company honored the legacy of the late John Madden last year.

The last players to be featured on the cover of EA Madden NFL were Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes when they shared the cover of Madden NFL 22.

After being drafted seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Bills, Allen ascended to stardom by helping the Bills to four-straight playoff appearances, including three-straight AFC East titles dating back to the 2020 campaign.

Over his last three seasons in the NFL, Allen has appeared in all 49 games for the Bills, completing 65.2% of his pass attempts for 13,234 yards, 108 touchdowns and 39 interceptions. He has also rushed for 1,946 yards and 21 touchdowns on 348 rushing attempts from under center. Those numbers have helped the 27-year-old earn two Pro Bowl honors, and two top-three voting finishes for NFL MVP.

This past season saw Allen complete 63.3% of this pass attempts for 4,283 yards, 35 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He helped Buffalo win another AFC East title and a playoff victory over the Miami Dolphins in the AFC Wild Card Round before the Bills were bumped in the Divisional Round by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Allen is entering the first year of his lucrative contract extension he signed with the Bills nearly two years ago. He is under contract in Buffalo through the 2028 season.
