Pittsford, N.Y. (WGR 550) - It was a big day from the offense during Day 4 of Buffalo Bills training camp at St. John Fisher University in Rochester. In particular, Josh Allen was in a groove, as he made a number of very nice throws during Wednesday's session.
Following his big day on the practice field, the Bills starting quarterback joined Chris Brown and Steve Tasker live on "One Bills Live" on WGR.
During the 2022 offseason, the Bills added a number of offensive players to enhance the options for Allen under center. Allen knows what each new players brings to the table for the offense, as a whole.
“Everyone’s got their own skill set, and we have to figure out how to get them on the field," said fifth-year signal caller. "There’s only one ball to go around, and only five skill position guys can be on the field at a time.”
Allen also addressed on Wednesday on how he deals with self-motivation or, on the other end, self-criticism.
“I probably don't do it the right way, but I’m a big negative self-talker. I've got to light a fire under myself,” Allen admitted.
Allen also discussed the differences between a quarterback's relationship with an offensive coordinator and a quarterback coach. He reiterated that quarterbacks have a much more personal relationship with the quarterbacks coach compared to an offensive coordinator, but did say that Ken Dorsey is doing well in his new role as the offensive coordinator.
Dorsey replaced Brian Daboll as the offensive coordinator this offseason after taking the job as head coach of the New York Giants.
