Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - While their Week 3 win over the Miami Dolphins wasn't as easy as some predicted, the Buffalo Bills were able to knock off their AFC East rival for, potentially, the final time at the current Highmark Stadium to improve to 3-0 on the 2025 season.
The Bills offense was effective for most of the night, as quarterback Josh Allen accounted for three touchdown passes to tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Jackson Hawes, and then the final dagger to wide receiver Khalil Shakir in the fourth quarter to put Buffalo up for good.
The defense did struggle to get Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa off his game from time-to-time throughout the game, but the unit came up in the clutch when needed most with a late interception from linebacker Terrel Bernard to put the contest on ice.
The Bills are off to a 3-0 start for a second-straight season, and will look to start a season 4-0 for only the second time since 2017 when they face the New Orleans Saints this Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.
New Orleans has had a less-than-ideal start through the first three weeks of the year, opening 0-3 and showing major problems in all three phases of the game.
At quarterback, Spencer Rattler has shown flashes of being a solid option under center in New Orleans, throwing for four touchdowns to just one interception, but has been sacked six times.
Back from this weekend's wedding of his son and former WGR personnel, Jonathan, one Howard Simon is in very good spirits with the Bills heading into their Week 4 matchup with the Saints.
Not only does Howard see Buffalo beating New Orleans this Sunday, but also has Buffalo making an impressive run and starting the season 9-0. This includes prime-time wins over the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, followed by wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and another victory over Miami in South Florida.
Buffalo's first loss of the year for Howard comes in a Week 11 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Highmark Stadium. That would be the first loss for the Bills at home since the 2023 AFC Divisional Round against Kansas City.
From there, Howard only has one more loss on the schedule for the Bills, coming in Week 17 against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles at Orchard Park.
When all is said and done, Howard picks the Bills to finish the 2025 season with a franchise-best 15-2 record, and likely finishing as the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs.
